On a regular day, New Orleans is among the best places to find a party in the country. During Mardi Gras? It's the undisputed capital city of celebration.
And it's one like no other, according to actress CCH Pounder, whose work on CBS's NCIS: New Orleans has brought her closer to the city than she's ever been before.
In the piece below, she talks about her first Mardi Gras as a resident and what it's been like to be back, years after Hurricane Katrina brought her to the city's doorstep.
