Though Sunday night's Grammys gifted us with Prince memes and an almost-repeat of Kanye's "I'mma let you finish" from 2009, the ratings for the awards show have come in somewhat under expectations
According to Nielsen numbers released by CBS, the show — during which Sam Smith and Beck won big — attracted 25.3 million viewers and an 8.5 rating among adults 18-49, which is down more than 3 million total viewers from 2014's 28.5 million viewers
So where did those viewers go? There are a few theories
Despite generating buzz online, the show was not the most thrilling show to date, and its time slot faced stiff competition from AMC, which aired the return of The Walking Dead and the series debut of Better Call Saul.
