Katy Perry did her part to draw attention to a cause often ignored: The horrors of domestic violence.
At Sunday's Grammy Awards, the pop star took the stage just after domestic violence survivor Brooke Axtell shared her heartbreaking story of abuse and how she managed to come out alive. President Barack Obama also voiced his support for survivors of domestic violence in a video that aired before the performance.
Perry's performed "By The Grace of God," from her album Prism, in front of a white backdrop. As she sang, the shadows of dancers appeared on the wall behind her.
