LONDON — The directors of The Lego Movie seem to have gotten over their Oscar snub.
As they picked up the award for Best Animated Film during the Bafta ceremony at London's Royal Opera House on Sunday, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller dismissed the Academy Awards in favour of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
"You are our favourite Academy by far," they told the audience. "You guys win the award for best academy."
"This is the end of the awards road for us, so we can say whatever we want. There's no one left to impress." Read more...
