LONDON — Some great news for cyclists in the capital was announced Wednesday, as Transport for London (TfL) approved plans for a network of cycle superhighways in the city.


The scheme will introduce two brand new cycle routes and will upgrade six more lanes across London. Many of the lanes will segregate cyclists from traffic for the first time.



With a murmur and a nod, #tflboard approve the Cycle Superhighway proposals. That's it, folks, spades in the ground, here comes the future!

Included in the proposal is an 18-mile segregated route from Tower Hill, east of the centre, to Acton out west, which would be the longest segregated route in Europe. Read more...
