RIJEKA, Croatia — The International Court of Justice in Hague decided Monday that Serbia is not guilty of genocide over Croatian population during the war in Croatia in the early 1990s


Furthermore, the court dismissed Serbia's countersuit, deciding that Croatia is not guilty of genocide against the Serbs



Explaining the court's decision, the ICJ's president Peter Tomka said Serbia cannot be held responsible for actions before April 27, 1992, as this is when the state started to exist, so the UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (CPPCG) could not apply to it Read more...
