AMMAN, Jordan — The mood in the Jordanian capital Amman was one of defiant anger on Wednesday a day after the release of a video by the militant group the Islamic State depicting the barbaric immolation of Jordanian pilot Lieutenant Muath al-Kaseasbeh.
Al-Kaseasbeh had been captured after his F-16 crash-landed in December over the Syrian city of Raqqa, the de facto capital of ISIS
Although he survived by parachuting into a nearby river, he was soon fished out by the militants who flooded social media with images of triumphant Jihadi fighters lifting a visibly frightened al-Kaseasbeh from the water. Read more...
