Canadian sports media company TheScore is the first to release an app for esports — competitive games played with a high level of skill, treating them with the same interest and thoroughness as football or basketball.


TheScore's Android app will provide real-time scores of League of Legends matches, along with breaking news surrounding popular games like DOTA 2, Counter-Strike, Call of Duty, StarCraft II and Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft



Esports viewing is growing in popularity worldwide, with 2014 data showing more than 71 million people watched streaming matches of popular games. Already esports-specific venues are being built around the world for fans to watch live events. Read more...
