Samsung's top-of-the-line $1,500 NX1 mirrorless camera beast is getting downsized, sorta. Available in mid-March, the $799 NX500 shares much of the same DNA as the NX1, but in the NX300's smaller size.
The NX500 doesn't skimp on the specs. It has the NX1's 28-megapixel BSI (backside-illuminated) APS-C image sensor with 9 frames per second (fps) continuous shooting, 4K (4,096 x 2,160 resolution) and UHD (Ultra High Definition; 3,840 x 2,160 resolution) video recording and improved Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. ISO also remains the same as the NX1 at 100-25600 (extendable to 51200).
