Mcd-hug

McDonald's on Feb. 2 kicked off its Super Bowl-televised Pay With Lovin' campaign, in which the franchise sold burgers for the steep prices of high-fives, selfies and family hugs.


"Lovin' Leaders," or store campaign managers, have been quick to document the tender moments across McDonald's, from selfies-with-cashiers galore to Instagram videos ending in store-wide applause.


And yet, among the genuinely sweet lovin' moments, there are also the foreseeable awkward encounters with customers who simply wanted to exchange some cash for their McNuggets


The Wall Street Journal Opinion Editor was one such customer, writing that she "stood there for a mortified second or two, and then the cashier mercifully suggested that [they] all dance together. Not wanting to be a spoilsport, [she] forced a smile and 'raised the roof' a couple of times, as employees tried to lure cringing customers into forming some kind of conga line." Read more...
